Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) was established in 1976 as the professional body for Human Resource Management in Malaysia.
Introducing Our
Professional Body
The Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) is Malaysia's first professional Human Resource Management organisation, founded in 1976. As the leading authority on the subject, we have taught over 40,000 HR professionals in both the public and private sectors
We provide a wide range of training courses and activities. We certify Malaysian human resource professionals and we are affiliated with international organisations such as the World Federation of People Management Association (WFPMA) and the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (AFPHRM).
MIHRM also work with a number of government agencies such as the Skills Development Department, Ministry of Human Resource, member of the Malaysian Professional Centre (BIM) and Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp).

in addition, MIHRM also collaborate with established universities and colleges like Nilai University, Institute of Leadership and Development (ILD) Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Putra Business School (PBS).
With our expertise and reach in both public and private sectors, we are considered the foremost professional body promoting HRM in Malaysia.

We welcome you to this site of the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM). MIHRM was founded in 1976 and is Malaysia’s only globally affiliated institute devoted to human resource management.
As Malaysia’s only representative body for HR Professionals globally and in Asia, we are PROUD to work with the HR professionals in Malaysia.
The Institute promotes and supports building HR Professionals and human resource management capabilities in Malaysia.
The Institute is affiliated with the World Federation of Personnel Management Associations and in Asia, with the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management.
As Malaysia’s only representative body for HR Professionals globally and in Asia, we are proud to work with the HR professionals in Malaysia, the Government and all entities aspiring to take Malaysia‘s HR Professionals and the management of human resources to attain world standards. Message From the President of MIHRM

On behalf of the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM), I extend my warmest welcome to all visitors to our official website.
For nearly half a century, MIHRM has been the voice, the guide, and the professional home of Malaysia’s HR community. Despite unprecedented challenges, MIHRM has remained steadfast in fulfilling its mission.
Over the past four years, MIHRM has remained steadfast in its mission. We have scaled our training and certification reach, developed partnerships with universities and higher-learning institutes, industry, and continued to honour HR excellence through our national awards and events.
Despite pandemic disruptions, we pivoted quickly to hybrid delivery, strengthened governance, and launched strategic alliances that will drive HR innovation and foresight. Looking forward, our priorities are clear: to integrate professional credentials into academic programmes, modernise our certification frameworks for future roles, and equip HR professionals with data, digital, and leadership capabilities.
MIHRM has remained persistent in delivering on our mission. We expanded our certification and training programmes, equipping thousands of HR practitioners with skills aligned to Malaysia’s changing workforce needs. Most importantly, we embraced digital transformation and embedded future-focused topics such as HR technology, people analytics, and workforce foresight into our programmes.
Looking ahead, MIHRM is focused on strengthening global partnerships and creating pathways that connect academic learning with professional recognition.
